What is glamping?
Glamping - a new buzzword of the last years. It is about combining adventure and love of nature with comfortable and high-quality furnishings, thus creating the ideal link between camping and hotel holidays. Glamping is therefore suitable for adventurers who prefer to fall into a comfortable bed in the evening rather than sleep in a tent on a mattress, and who also enjoy more luxurious facilities and amenities such as heating or running water. In addition, this type of travel has the advantage that you do not have to carry all your utensils around and laboriously put up and take down tents. Glamping also makes the risk of frozen, damp nights a thing of the past - without having to change to the resort holiday style. Glamping highlights in Europe
If you want to try glamping at home first, Vals is the place to be. From the end of May to the end of October, the Hängelahütte offers guests the Mongolian feeling - with the glamping experience in a yurt. The impressive area invites you to hike and marvel. The combination of tent life in the mountains and amenities such as a comfortable bed makes the glamping heart beat faster! 
Of course, France cannot be missed as a popular holiday destination. Friends of exceptional overnight stays will find what they are looking for in Vendée: at the castle campsite Camping Le Château de la Forêt. Here you can spend the night in the Bubble Room - as the name suggests, this is a spherical accommodation. The transparent ceiling offers a view of the (starry) sky and invites you to romantic nights and heavenly dreams! Those who find the Bubble Room too unusual can choose the alternative: a lodge tent for up to four people. 
Italy is also a must on our list. Glamping Canonici di San Marco is located on the grounds of a 17th century farm and offers a choice of luxury tents. On the grounds of Leeds Castle moated castle, you can stay in tournament style knight's tents, where you can enjoy the comfort of a soft canopy bed and fireplace in a medieval atmosphere. Here, young and old alike can enjoy falconry, archery or a tour of the castle, taking you back to centuries past! 
Croatia is the land of beautiful lake landscapes - no wonder that this tourist destination also offers glamping. One 99 Glamping, as the name suggests, offers 199 tents with luxurious facilities - directly by the beach. In addition to various tent styles with capacities for two to six people, there are even charging stations for electric cars. After excursions in the surrounding area - for example to Pula, a small town with historical sights and a fascinating history - a refreshing swim in the Adriatic Sea is all the more refreshing!
Especially cool: Glamping in winter
Glamping is not only for spring and summer! Even in the cold season, this type of travel is a great opportunity, as you can experience the magic of the winter landscapes up close, while enjoying yourself in the warmth. The glass igloos at Levin Iglut in northern Finland are a great experience. The amenities include a large bed, a small kitchen and sometimes even a Jacuzzi. The highlight of this accommodation is the glass dome which offers you a view of the northern lights or the starry sky - snuggled in comfortably.
